Shiva Rajkumar discusses Jailer’s success and says he wouldn’t mind if his role were to get a spin-off.

Shiva Rajkumar said he wasn’t prepared for the overwhelming response his appearance in Rajinikanth’s movie Jailer received.

Shiva Rajkumar’s extended cameo appearance in the Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer became a sensation. In a new interview with India Today, the actor opened up about his reaction to his performance in the film and shared his thoughts about whether he is open to a spin-off on his character in a film.

When questioned about the response to Jailer and whether he would be willing to star in a spin-off centred on his role, Shiva Rajkumar responded, “I don’t mind. I have no idea how it operates. Nelson Dilipkumar should come up with and have that idea because he has more responsibility for his future movie now that Jailer was a success. However, there was one scene that was planned to be shot inside the jail, but he later decided it wasn’t essential, sir. So, I’m not sure what will happen in that regard. I don’t mind at all if it is on the same line. However, Nelson excels at capturing such complex individuals.

The actor was happy as he answered questions about how his on-screen persona was received. He played Rajinikanth’s character, Narasimha, a thug who is Tiger’s companion in the film. The actor insisted that he had never expected such a response. “Everyone is in disbelief. We don’t know how people will respond. He said, “Where the director and music director have produced, combined with the presence, there is some enchantment.

Nelson’s film Jailer, which debuted on August 10, has amassed over 600 crores in box office revenue. Additionally, it is the second-fastest Tamil movie to make it to the 600 crore club following the release of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar-starring 2.0 in 2018. In the movie Jailer, Vasanth Ravi, Tamannaah Bhatia, Yogi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, and Vinayakan all played pivotal roles. Jackie Shroff and veteran Malayalam actor Mohanlal also appear in the film in cameo roles. Anirudh Ravichander created the soundtrack for the movie, and Sun Pictures was in charge of its production.
