Kabir Khan explained why he considers Katrina Kaif to be a member of his family. They have worked together on three films, starting with New York (2009).
Throughout his professional life,, director Kabir Khan has worked with a few actors again. He has appeared in films alongside Salman Khan, John Abraham, and Katrina Kaif. Among the actors, however, he regards Katrina as more than a friend; she is also like family to him. The director revealed that he has known Katrina since he began his career. Over time, he has grown close to her husband, Vicky Kaushal, and his family.
Kabir and Katrina Kaif have collaborated on a number of films., including New York (2009), Ek Tha Tiger (2012), and Phantom (2012). Vicky and Katrina’s intimate and personal wedding in Rajasthan in 2021 was attended by Kabir and his wife, Mini Mathur, a host and presenter. Katrina was the most ‘famous’ personality in the industry to him. As he put it, “Katrina is more than just a friend. She’s like a sister to me. We travel all the way back to New York, but it’s about more than just the three films we’ve collaborated on. It’s just the times we’ve spent together. She’s now married to Vicky, whom I consider a family member. Sham ji, Vicky’s father, and I have worked on six films together. Sunny, Vicky’s brother, appeared in Forgotten Army, my first web series. Katrina’s family, I believe.”
Kabir is also close to Katrina’s husband Vicky’s family, with whom he works professionally. Vicky’s father, veteran action director Sham Kaushal, and younger brother Sunny Kaushal are both actors.
