Anil Sunkara, an agent producer, apologises for the film’s failure: Doing the project without a script was a mistake.

The failure of the Telugu movie Agent was blamed on its producer, Anil Sunkara. Akhil Akkineni plays the lead role.

Agent, the newest movie by Akhil Akkineni, did poorly at the box office. The Surender Reddy-directed movie also had Urvashi Rautela in a special song cameo along with Mammootty, Dino Morea, Sakshi Vaidya, and Mammootty. The lengthy delayed Telugu movie’s opening day take was merely 7 crore. Anil Sunkara, one of the movie’s producers, accepted responsibility for the reviewers’ and audience’s disapproval of the production. He acknowledged that starting the movie without a bound script was a mistake. The COVID-19 outbreak also caused numerous delays for the movie.

Producer Anil tweeted, “We have to accept full responsibility for #Agent. Even though we were aware that it was a difficult undertaking, we had every intention of overcoming it. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of starting the project without a bound script, which resulted in a host of problems, including covid. Without making excuses, we want to examine how we may improve after making this expensive error to ensure that we never make the same mistakes again. We sincerely apologise to everyone who relied on us. We will diligently plan and work hard on our upcoming projects to make up for the losses.

His candour was valued by the audience, and they thanked him for speaking out. “Hats off sir,” wrote one supporter. Nowadays, very few producers publicly acknowledge their mistakes. I hope you learn from your errors and I wish you luck with your forthcoming initiatives, sir. I think you’ll soon return stronger with box office successes. An additional person commented, “Respect for being honest and accepting the result hope you will come back stronger from this learning.” Taran Adarsh, a trade analyst, continued, “Very seldom have I seen producers, directors, or actors accept failure gracefully… It takes guts to publicly admit your just released movie [#Agent] failed, #AnilSunkara ji… That too hardly a week after it was published… We all gain knowledge through our blunders, and I’m confident that With your subsequent movie, you will recover more powerfully.

Akhil’s mother, star Amala Akkineni, recognised the trolls the movie and her son had encountered earlier today. I realise that trolling stems from a deeper insecurity and craving for success, the woman added. Yesterday, I watched Agent, and I thought it was a great movie. Despite its shortcomings, you will be amazed if you watch it with an open mind. Half of the audience in the hall where I witnessed it was made up of women, mothers, and grandmothers, along with their husbands and sons. When the incident occurred, there were screams. The following one will undoubtedly be much bigger and better.
